Well...we're not long home from a well needed holiday in the Highlands. It was a fantastic break but I really missed being away from my work for a week!
I've been working on the collaboration project since we've gotten home and I've also started a painting....It's been so good to get back into the studio, I haven't worked out there for around a couple of months! The painting is another strawberry study, it's for a friends birthday...just hope she likes it!
I laid out my crochet piece on the living room floor this evening...I can't believe how much it has grown since I last laid it out. I'll take some photos of it tomorrow as it has changed quite a bit. possible new location

Going to look at a new possible location for our arts festival installation tomorrow. Not sure how to feel about it as we'd been steadily progressing towards the original one........not sure what the disabled access is like, obviously that'll impact on decision about it, no point having a space if you can't get into it in the first place....will blog more about it all after we see it....

The sun finally came out here a few days ago, I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen at all! I'm always inspired to go out with my camera when I know there's going to be something interesting for me to photograph.....I knew my friends poppies were almost in bloom so as I went past her garden I couldn't help but smile to see some open....What really surprised me was that they were all different colours...can't wait to see what opens up next!

It's gotten me all inspired to get my paintbrushes out again, I haven't painted in over a month, I've been far too busy crocheting!

I've finally run out of wool.......crumbs it's only taken me a couple of weeks! The piece is now almost covering my entire living room floor but I still have quite a bit to do, thank goodness I've got until October!

Here's a wee sneak peek at part of the collaboration I'm doing for this years Cupar Arts Festival, it may not look like much yet but I've been crocheting for days! I'm sure it'll take me up to October to get it finished......

I've spent today changing the header on my website as I'd gotten a bit bored with the old one! I've changed the size of the thumbnails pics too....it was just really needing abit of an overhaul! I'll probably tinker about with it a little more, still not totally happy with it but it's getting there :)

Crumbs....where do I start?
I thought that this might be a good exercise in getting me to write about my art........I find it really difficult as I'd much rather be in my wee shed creating it!
I haven't painted much recently...I've been working on my sketchbook, trying to come up with a design for a mural I'll be painting for the Cupar Arts Festival. I'm working in collaboration with my friend Jill Skulina....really excited about it as I'm totally out of my comfort zone! I'll try to load some of my sketchbook images if I can ever get my scanner working, or if that doesn't work I suppose I could photograph them........
